It had just been dropped there for a minute while the owner came out of his house, its obviously garaged nearby

That looks fantastic, thanks for posting. I've never seen one on the road, but pics I keep seeing recently show how well they're aging.

I'm sure I've seen the guy in the dark coat watching over a Veyron on Jermyn Street. Wonder if he's the owners minder?

The owner looked very familiar in a Flavio Briatore type way.

Now like ars***** everyone is allowed an opinion and mine is that it looked horrible then and it looks no better now, it was a technical masterpiece no question but as far as automotive art, no sorry not poster material, looks like a well fitted 'ugly' bodykit, obviously my failing here but I just dont get it, all that tech into a 911 Turbo of the time without the kit I could understand..

I am a fan, and I though the bodywork looked superbly balanced. Highly subjective obviously but to me it has brilliantly stood the test of time. One of the great Porsches. MY only concern is that they are rumoured to hate being stored for long periods, so a garage queen may be a very expensive proposition.

With you on this one PUK.
They've not aged at all well IMOVHO. Just looks plain old. I'm no Fezza fan, but the 288GTO and F40 have aged far better.

Had Stuttgart engineered the 959s underpinnings into a something more like the RUF Yellowbirds bodyshell, I'd have been at the front of the queue.

x3

Looks very dated now frown

F40 still looks unquestionably beautiful.
