I should declare a minor interest because a wine company I worked for years ago used them for warehousing, but I no longer have anything stored with them.

BBR do allow wines not bought from them to be stored: just tell them you're transferring them in to list on BBX. There's a small fee for the transfer in, but they definitely do permit it... http://www.bbr.com/fine-wine/bbx-faqs
Never used LCB myself but do vaguely recall something a few years ago about temperature control (or lack of). Situation may have changed but I'd want to look into it further (and know EXACTLY which of their warehouses it was going to) if leaving anything there for any real time.

BBX is to sell right? I don't want to, rather keep it for my daughter born in 09. "Underground in Wiltshire" is code for Octavian's Corsham cellars: arguably some of (if not the) finest in the country.
I pay £8.50+VAT per case for storage there via Farr Vintners (who probably wouldn't be interested in storing a single case for you unless it was for broking at a competitive price - hence why not mentioned previously), so the price you've been quoted seems competitive.
BTW, if storing via a merchant, make sure your stock will be marked as owned by you (in case of administration/bankruptcy of the merchant) and insured at full replacement cost.

I use Private Reserves....only because they are owned by a merchant called Goedhuis & Co that I have bought wine from. That said they seem pretty good and I am actually thinking about transferring wine to them I have bought through other merchants. I was totally recommended by my merchant, who seems to drink more than sell and bases his stock on what he likes.
Now looking at and have emailed Private Reserves ltd for more info. Looks like £5 admin and £10 a year storage underground in wilts.
