Denmark & Sweden
Discussion
Well it seems I have to go to Stockholm for a week-long meeting at the beginning of May, and Mrs. Marshalla would like to come with me.
Obviously, I'm taking the car (1991 Lotus Excel) and plan to drive from Esbjerg to Stockholm & back.
Any tips or things I need to know about the route & local hazards/challenges ?

No real hazards or challenges, it's a long long boring drive.
The bridges and especially the bridge between Denmark and Sweden are interesting, but essentially just big expensive toll bridges.
You'll not have to pay Stockholm congestion charge as foreign registered. There are cameras including mobile ones parked on small camping style trailers, face on. Don't take the piss and you'll be OK with the traffic plod, largely.
If you stop off in Helsingborg then a visit to Sofiero Slott is well worth it, the gardens are superb, early May might be a shade early for the rhododendrons and azaleas.
May 13 there is a classic car rally. Last time I was there one of the family drove up in THE most immaculate Alvis TF21 drophead I've ever seen.
You will also more or less drive past the Swedish Air Force museum
But to be honest the drive is a grind, lifted only by stopping at service stations and laughing at confectionery with amusing names, eg Salty Liquorice gums named Spunk. (don't swallow)
Usual tourist stuff in Stockholm, Vasa museum, boat trips, Djurgarden, various museums, shopping, plenty restaurants, avoid the tourist traps.
