Spyder cosmetic changes
Discussion
Opinions please.
I'm mulling the idea of extending the black stripe on my white Spyder to the front bumper, a la Cayman R, and also getting the windscreen surround sprayed black.
Also been considering black door mirrors.
Good idea, or should I just leave well alone?!
If anyone out there has too much time on their hands like me, but is talented on Photoshop unlike me, feel free to post an image of what this potential abomination might look like!
PS - I have black Spyder wheels with a silver rim.

I was thinking about Black wing mirrors on mine.

if you have to - carbon mirror inserts would look nice - anything else . . . . well thats your decision!but none of the other stuff.

I'd leave it as it is, they look great in white.
Whilst we're on the subject of Spyder options (sorry to go off topic
) does anyone know how much lighter the spyder wheels are than the turbo II alloys? Also how much heavier the sports seats are than the buckets? Just want to get an idea of how lardy my spyder is

roof 21kg
Alloy doors 15kg
Seats 12kg
Air con 12kg plus no BHp loss
Radio 3kg
that leavs 17kg of other stuff, not sure if that inc wheels, but will include, door bins, door pulls and cup holders.
no idea on the wheels but the front spyder ones weigh 9.5kg and normal very good wheel will weigh 12kg+ upto 14kg's
Ceramic brakes 3kg's unsprung weight, but more rotation mass reduction.
Battery will save 15kg also.

Shouldn't worry about it.Whilst we're on the subject of Spyder options (sorry to go off topic

I guess the wheels *may* make a difference to feel, but the seats?
I really can't see you noticing the weight difference.

Looking at this :
http://www.944racing.de/wheelweights.php
I guess my wheels are around 1 - 1.5kg heavier - so a max 6kg overall. If you put the 12kg saving from the buckets, the 3kg from the radio and the 12kg from the air-con back in my car is around 33kg heavier than the lightest spyder spec.
Not planning on lightening the car up, just wanted to know.
