Any good restaurants in Stockton on Tees??

I'm up t'north on Tuesday next week and want to take her indoors out as it's Valentines day.

We are staying in Yarm and was wondering if there were any decent restaurants in the area?

I really do not know that area at all.

Don't care on type of food as long as it's high quality.

If you're staying in Yarm then there's a few decent restaurants on the high st. A nice Italian - I forget the name now.

The restaurant in the Crathorne Hall Hotel is worth a visit.

Cleveland Tontine (down the A19 a bit) or Rockliffe Hall (over towards Croft - chef used to have a Michelin Star at another hotel)n

Yarn high street's ok - there are a few cheap and cheerful restaurants down there. Long time since I worked down there, but I seem to remember eating at a place called chadwicks (if it's still there), did a lovely cheese soufflé

Santoros. It's pretty good.

OP - under no circumstances do you actually want to venture into Stockton itself.

Thanks guys - Tontine was full which is a shame as that was my prefferred choice.

Rockcliffe Hall is a bit too far - don't fancy a 30+ min taxi ride back after a few bottles of wine, so booked into the Leven Restaurant at Crathorne Hall Hotel, looks more traditional than I'd normally go for but food sounds good.

Loads in Yarm - The keys, Joe riggs, Starters - there probaly your best best. Or Central park thats in boro food is amazing but the service is poor they get away with it because the food is that good usally need 2 book early to get a table there.

Thanks - went and had a great evening. Young staff but very attentive and friendly service.

Valentines menu was slightly restrictve but couldn't have been too bad as I resisted a cheese course!
