iPod required - play into car cradle

Short, sharp, request for the locals please...

I need to upload two small files to an old iPod (basically not a touch or iPhone) and then 'play' them to my in-car system to upgrade it.

Does anyone local have such a device I could email the files to and then call round to play them into the car cradle??

I think so, it appeared to work with the friends nano, but when I put my phone back in it was quiter again.
