June can be bad. Last June was no problem at all.
The good news about June is that we get such long days (with twilight a good 3 hours more than London). Also it's the month of sunsets on the west coast.

Hey Steve,
Are you able to put up the names of those roads in your pictures, I'm heading this direction in June and would like to get the best out of my trip and would love to drive these roads.
Thanks.
All bar two of them are on the loop: http://www.stevecarter.com/bestuk.htmAre you able to put up the names of those roads in your pictures, I'm heading this direction in June and would like to get the best out of my trip and would love to drive these roads.

Quick ones: Achnasheen to Kinlochewe and Achnasheen to Lochcarron, towards Gairloch and north of Ullapool... twisty/steep ones around the Applecross Peninsular (42 mile circular loop). Do it clockwise and you're less likely to cook your brakes - and you'll get better views.
ETA... do it early on a Sunday morning and the only person you'll see is me

Cheers Steve,
Won't be driving too hard as I want to enjoy the scenery as much as the drive plus I'll have my wife with me so I won't be allowed to go too fast.
Most of the driving will be done mid week in early June and will probably been started early morning so hoping to miss a most of the traffic but I've got 3 days see it all, hoping this will be more than enough.

How much traffic are you expecting in the afternoon? Won't be driving too hard as I want to enjoy the scenery as much as the drive plus I'll have my wife with me so I won't be allowed to go too fast.

The rush hour around there is Steve going to the shop!
