To my eyes some very sus motors turning up on the http://www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk/ home page 'Latest cars for sale' listing.
Different this morning to last night, different phone numbers but I suspect all adds related. Examples:
'85 Maserati Sebring, 7.5k Sterling
'74 E-Type, 6.7k Sterling
'72 Ferrari 365, 8.5k Sterling
The list goes on, 9 cars this morning and as many different ones last night.
We all know that the scammers are out there but this does appear to be an escalation.
Or, am I missing the bargains of the century? Thoughts anyone?

I rarely look at that site to be honest. I prefer Car and Classic.

Blimey, as of 10:40am they have all gone.
Wonder if the moderators / operators smelled the rat?

The same thing happened on here a couple of weeks back.

356 for £8.5
Dodge Challenger for £7.5
Ferrari 330 GTC for £8.5

The ads soon got pulled, not before everybody on the thread was arguing which one they wanted. hehe

Needless to say the phone number given was unobtainable.

Ditto, I really enjoy looking at Car and Classic, but the Classic Cars for Sale site I find a bit odd at times, and the cars really overpriced!

They are regularly on there and are clearly a scam. That site seems to be relentlessly targeted by scammers now. I too prefer Car and Classic.

The site staff are trying to block them. At the moment they go up in the evenings and weekends when they think everyone has gone home. Luckily they are so obvious and inept that no one could be fooled (could they?).
Quite a few on fleabay too recently. Beware of any that ask for replies to a private email rather than through the ebay system. Again they are usually fairly obvious. As always anything that looks too good to be true invariably is!

Thanks guys. Confirming just about what I thought.
One pimped up E-Type even quoted the chassis number - amazing.
I didn't even try the phone numbers because of what you hear about being diverted to Vietnam and charged X Sterling per second.
I am currently a regular on Pistonheads Classified, Auto Trader and the other sites looking to upgrade my DB7 to a DB7 Vantage. But now I see that DB9 prices are overlapping DB7 Vantages, what to do? Or should I throw caution to the wind and go for an early Vanquish? I don't mind the running costs, its depreciation I can't be doing with.
Might start a new thread, now I have derailed this one......

As a bit of an AM novice what are the advantages of a Vanquish over a DB9.
I found the Vanquish interior a bit dated compared to the DB9.
