I buy a classic TVR, find pistonheads and enjoy my daily reading of the ups and downs of owning a classic, join pistonheads and then all of a sudden there is nothing to read. Have you all gone on holiday or are you all wimps that just take them out when its sunny.
Thinks that might get them going

Morning.
Same thoughts as yourself ! The S forum seems lively enough , should have purchased an S and joined in there !!! ( jokin...nothing wrong with the taimars..)
Personally I recently purchased a Grantura , which I have passed on to another TVR enthusiast , and now purchased a 3000M which I hope to have next week . With my lack of mechanical skills I will have plenty queries and items to speak about on the forum and hopefully liven things up ....

I'm still minus car - new diff went in tuesday, now awaiting some fancy welding on the U/J mounts (I'm no mechanic either, but the holes that the U/J's fit into on the driveshafts are worn, so they move about).
All this prior to having some shafts made which won't break when I put my foot down. I'd have liked them now, but the new diff was £300...

got it in one...
Diff back in today, U/J mounting holes welded up then rebored (not a permanent fix, but should last me until (a)BNG and (b) next month's pay (!)
Wow. Different car altogether - no "clunk" then grinding noise before being launched forwards at approx mach 3...
Thanks for the complement re:car (photo was of mate's GF whilst camping, hence tent in the car), sadly, paint not quite as nice 3 years on - lacquer falling off in several places now
. But get it working right first, then make it shiny.

Was always my intention to get an 3000M series that I could improve performance ( looking for 200+BHP)
Just happened to come across the Grantura and at the time becoming 'desparate' to get a TVR , however considering the lack of my mechanical skills ( I am constantly reminded by my wife and local mechanic ) and the budget required to carry out a TRUE restoration decided this was'nt right for me , ( as my first TVR ) however the car is in the hands of a TVR enthusiast ( Dave Gray of Lakefield Restorations ) who also enjoys racing TVR Tuscans...
At least the Grantura will get back on the road again . ( Another one 'saved'! )

Hi Dram
When you get your 3000M I wouldnt rush to upgrade it as even in standard form they are still good fun, but I have got to say that I am going to be putting ported heads and fast road cam on my car in the near future!
And have checked out where I can get a supercharger to fit the car
