Hi all,

I need to feed an alternative to this piece of machinery:

We have a project to sort municipal waste and to adequately supply a 5m3 hopper the machine needs around a 2.5m3 grab. The material has a bulk density of 250 kg/m3, giving a load of 0.625 t/ grab. At this size, 40 grabs/hour are required for the system (90 second cycle).

Is there something that any of you know of which can do this without having to have a full on mobile machine?

You could always take the wheels off if that's any help.

Just solid mount a Lorry Hiab and fit it with a grab.

But why not have a much more versatile 360 with a grab?

What about those things they have at local tips? ours has something like that fitted on a platform rather than wheels for compressing all the stuff in the 'bins'.
