Insurance with AVIVA?

Just renewed my Tuscan S insurance with Tesco's for £315 fully comp with 10 years NCD, £400 excess, car valued at £30k and 30 days a year driving abroad, result I thought, as the renewal with my previous insurance with AVIVA was £420 with £500 excess and no driving abroad.

The problem with AVIVA is they will only provide a maximum of 5 years NCD, dispite me going to them with 10 and no claims made since. I didn't realise when I went to AVIVA they only give a maximum of 5 years, I wouldn't have gone to them if I had known this at the time.

I've been told AVIVA is the only company that give as little as 5 years NCD which seems very unfair, as I have now lost five years and face an increased premium with Tesco.

I've now got to get proof of NCD from the company I was with before AVIVA and hope Tesco's accept that.

I'll certainly won't use AVIVA again!

Manning only give 5 years max NCD. It's not the broker's fault - it's the underwriter that sets these T's & C's on policies. I asked Manning what happens when I leave, and they said will will give you a letter stating you have 5 years NCD, plus details of how much NCD you arrived at and how long you've been claim free with them, so you can carry it forward.

Two AVIVA policies, 10+ years NCD on both.
Wouldn't ensure the Chimaera with anyone else.

As RedSpike66 says, it can be down to the broker doing their job. In my experience, the broker is as important as the insurers, and I have stayed with the broker for as long as I have had the car.
