There is a half-day in the planning at Croft for 10th August : www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=110155&f=112&h=0
It's £85 for half day, thats 3x20mins, £5 for a helmet.

Love to be up for this, but car in bits at the moment after an 85mph conversation with the tyre wall at Combe a couple of weeks back .
Need to do some testing before the end of August though to show that we've put it back together properly before we race it - a track day would be ideal (more relaxed than a test, so can concentrate on making sure that the car is OK, rather than speed).
I shall keep my eyes peeled to see what people are up to a couple of weeks later.

I mentioned this on here a while ago, but didn't get much of a response.
So, here goes ago.
Anyone fancy a half-day at Croft, probably early August. Cost would be in region of £150.
why is it so expensive?
Got to pay for the sports exhaust some how
Having just looked again, it is £150 for full day or £85 for half day.
If you're going to do a half day then may I suggest you pick the afternoon. Mornings are normally controlled and as Stefan says you get 3X20 mins. Afternoons are often 'open pit lane' so you can come and go as you please.
20 mins is an awfully long time for a car on normal road tyres and standard brake fluid.

Anyone looking to go to Croft on the 19th Sept, I recommend that you post here. Bob is presently trying to get a list together so that he can attempt some shrewd negotiations .

Alistair H. said:I take it you have Manning insurance. This is a MSA event so no it isn't TVRCC. Strange it is though because these events are far better controlled than club events. The rules are far tighter, no pace setting or open pit etc. I find it odd that Manning do this. Ar well so be it.
Bob,
Will this be a a TVRCC track day? - if so I will come! - otherwisee the old insurance is invalid.....
