Acoustic Guitar recommendations please

I fancy a new Acoustic. To be honest I'm not getting on with the Electric and find myself playing the acoustic most of the time.

So I'm considering selling the electric and getting another Acoustic (I'll keep the Yamaha FG700MS).

I'm think of whatever I get for my electric plus a bit more if necessary so lets say an arbitrary figure of £500-£600. I do like the look of the PRS SE Angelus but they're like hen's teeth right now so really I'm looking for alternatives.

No need for Electro Acoustic but I don't see any reason why not if there's a particularly good one to consider.

in that price range a takamine is a great piece of kit.keep your peepers out for either a martin or an ovation as well.both cracking manufacturers

You have the choice of almost any brand in that price range. Choice will be entirely up to you. Ovation, for instance, would not even make my 'check one out' list as I don't like the style however good their rep is. I think the best thing to do is spend a day in the guitar shops and find the one that's right for you; you won't find a bad guitar at that price, it'll be down to preference.

I recently bought a LAG Tramontaine. Having had an Ovation back in 1982 (which I loved) and a Takamine, this one is lovely to look at, better to play and sounds absolutley brilliant. They're not that mainstream so you may struggle to find one to try. If you can though, have a dabble, I've not regretted buying mine for a second

With a budget like that I would not be considering new, I would look for something really tasteful on the second hand market. Quality acoustic guitars do not, normally, deteriorate with age, quite the reverse in some cases.

Ok, that sounds sensible and a well looked after acoustic from a higher price bracket would be a nice option.

I know! It's a beautiful guitar and it's not that it's a bad guitar (my tutor and friends have said it's wonderful to play) but I just don't play the electric anywhere near as much as the acoustic. It's a wasteful ornament and a guitar should not be treated like that.
It's like having a beautiful car and never driving it... you'd get shot for that round these parts

I don't play my electrics as much as my acoustic either, but I think if you sell it you might regret it. I prefer playing the acoustic as that's what I've always played. No faffing about with cables, pedals and tones. One thing that made me want to play it more is getting a good tone. If you don't like the sound then what's the point? When I first started playing electric it was on a st guitar through a st amp. Sounded awful and I played maybe once a week on the electric (I have played acoustic every day since I started). If you get it sounding great it might inspire you - it did me. Maybe jam along to some backing tracks?
