Driving home to pick the Mrs up from Bracknell tonight, pulled off the M4 at a couple of minutes past 5, stopped, and there I sat, in stationary traffic for over half an hour. Traffic finally pulled away, and I was expecting to see the aftermath of an accident, but nothing. A small broken down van on the hard shoulder, but that was it. Anyone know if anything more occurred and was moved away?

Thameswater were fixing a burst water main in Caversham this evening too. So temporary traffic lights just after coming over Caversham Bridge to manage traffic around lane closure. Can't of helped! That on its own is enough to cause gridlock in Reading.

I went through caversham on the way to Henley this afternoon and the traffic was bad. It took me an hour and 10mins to get from the Madjeski stadium to Tilehurst tonight the IDR was like a car park!

3 ambulances did go flying past in the other direction, so assume they were heading to the A329M
