ghost bikes - mtb, amr specifically

Anyone know much about the AMR range? Looking on the ghost website they look like very good bikes but the range is very confusing. what is amr plus? what is a lector vs rt? what is an amr plus lector?
also where can i buy them. they are distributed by hotlines but all the shops dont seem to stock them anymore...
anyone got any real world experience of them? i'm after a 29er

Been riding a 2011 AMR 7500 for about 6 months now.
Totally smitten, it is an awesome bit of kit. Rides beautifully up and down. Done all sorts in it including some enduro races and never felt like it was the wrong choice.
VFM is pretty good too when you compare like for like in terms of components to a trek fuel or zesty.
I think I can help with some of your questions. Now this may have changed for 2012 but 2010/2011 this was the wisdom I picked up from various places.
Ghost AMR - short travel 120mm trail bike and is ace.
Ghost AMR Lector - the same but in carbon
Ghost AMR plus - different bike with longer travel (140mm up front IRC) and an older suspension design. Possibly not as good as the 'standard' AMR.
Mine is one of 2 MTBs so doesn't get ridden every week, having said that I have done a lot of offroad miles over the past few months and so far all I've had to do is get a new headset and get seal service done on the forks (fox paranoia probably but dont want big bills from mojo). The 32fit you get on the better models is amazingly plush.
Probably the only weaker part of the standard spec of a 7500 or above is the wheels. Fairly boggo rims on Shimano hubs. I'd like to upgrade to proII's and crests at somepoint.
There's plenty of stockists if you look - I got mine from Sunset in Cardiff (top guys) who also do 2 years 0% finance.
There was/is some 2011 bikes knocking about with discounts getting you a lot of new bike (in the current market IMHO) for £2k new.
I really do love mine.

I've got a 2010 AMR 5700 26", pretty good bike done loads of trail centres and general riding and it's been pretty good, wheels are pretty rubbish quality so after bending a 3rd front one I put an upgraded DMR DH one on it with Hope hub and it's been great.
My only real issue not caused by me is the rear suspension linkage which is carbon sheered one day and the rear triangle has dented the seat post, this was back in September, was agreed the frame would be replaced under warranty, and after a few weeks they sent out a temp rear suspension linkage so not bad I think, oh how wrong I am, my new replacement frame arrives at my local shop today!!!!!!!! I'd seriously stay well away from anything imported by Hotlines as this to me is terrible service.
Kind of a shame as I need something a bit more than the Ghost now and am ordering an Orange 5 on Tuesday, did consider Lappiere until I found out who imports them!
