Based in chafford hundred here - just shot outside to listen to them. Sounded like they were tearing through my lounge. On the second pass they seemed to take different routes.

Passed over Essex near the M25 as well. I saw one, which looked to be heading in towards London at a fairly low altitude.

There's been a pair of Typhoons sightseeing (*) around Northolt on and off for the past hour and a half, could be the same ones - they haven't been over this side of London for the whole of that time.

* aka training sorties in readiness for them being based here during the Olympics...

On a related note, On wednesday i was driving through Bodiam when a Hercules flew over at almost tree top height. Never seen one before down this way, Possibly related? Or doing something else?

They only seem interested in the noise level. Good old Britain (but it was the same when the Dambusters were training too)

hehe

With all the cutbacks you'd think they could do something like that BT FTTC/H competition, but instead of voting for your village to get faster internet you could guarantee some cash if your village gets a flypast.

Was waiting at Lakeside for the missus to come out of work, thought it was the start of WW3!!! Sounded awesome, like thunder shooting across the sky.

Some funny quotes we've found on the internet so far...

'why the hell are typhoons flying over London, my kids nearly shat themselves!'

'Holy Sh@t! I thought our roof was gonna come off!'

'Everyone in London heard these Typhoons? It was crazy, quite frankly I though we was gonna die!'

Lol, funny how people freak out first before engaging brain.
