Ok, so honing my skills on the new tracks and just getting general practice in and a few things have REALLY started to fk me off.

You always start 6th/8th on the grid, even in two heat events. "So you set a blistering time in you're first heat and beat everyone else, you start in 8th." Seriously, what's the fking point?

The AI will literally plough themselves into armcos to stop them accidentally clipping each other on the way past but deliberately disregard any form of racing line so they can take you the fk off the track as you engage in an overtake that would impress Murray Walker.

If your bacak end has a bit of a wobble (seems to a lot) then the person behing you won't bother to overtake, he'll just plough the fk into you. No reason, except to take you out the race so his ish AI buddies can win it.

Get better at the game, if you can't catch the AI's then you suck.

The AI is quite good IMO, it seems realistic the way they'll attack/defend/yield, an improvement on previous Forza games and much better than the dumb AI of GT2/4 etc. Perhaps not the fastest (at least on the default setting... can you change it in career mode?) but suits me as I don't play it every waking second of my life.

No... the most fkING annoying thing in FM4 (and quite possibly every other game I've played) is...

"Now off to the sunny...." fk OFF! rage

"Today we'll be visiting the famous Top Gear... " fk OFF! rage

"The next race will be at the Nurburgring and..." fk OFF! rage

"You will now be tackling the challenging circuit that is..." fk OFF! rage

... and breathe...

Even on legendary the AI poses no threat to probably 95% of the racers on here....you must be a tad rubbish....more practise required.

Did I, at any point, mention that I couldn't overtake the AI on a regular basis? Yes

Did two people read the letters AI and assume the OP wasn't very good at the game? Yes

Cheers for the input you two, brilliant stuff.

You said so his AI buddies can win, can't you catch them back up if you crash?

Depends how much damage the collision does, you do have damage turned on don't you? If not you can change it on the pre-race menu, two options Limited and Simulation IIRC.

So you understand how frustrating it can be when an AI that can't drive ploughs into the back of you doing about 50% of damage to your rear-engined car, thus making it a bit tricky to win the race.

Also why should you get bonus points for driving without ABS on a car that always comes with ABS, Veyron for example.

Especially given that you can brake later without ABS, so they're giving you a bonus for having an advantage confused

Because it involves a bit of skill to not lock the wheels up every time you brake into a corner. The clutch one is a bit daft though - in the Forza universe, Cadence Clutching actually works. biggrin

I find flat shifting fun!!

Only problem is that i keep finishing a race lets say in... 6th gear on the final straight.

Then starting the next race and forgetting that my H pattern box is still in sodding 6th gear. Cue a very crap start.....

Does it though? I find it hard to lock the brakes in most cars. And does it really work? I'll have to try that... scratchchin

Put the brake pressure on 160% and it's easy.

I do it all the time, mainly because I'm not used to it. biggrin As for the cadence clutching, sort of. Leaving the throttle flat when you go into the next gear does seem to be the most efficient way of shifting.

Oh yeah, that pisses me off. That's the one thing that bugs me about Forza - on Project Gotham you could swap the music for stuff you actually liked.

I went back to forza 3 today and i think i prefer it , the forza 4 physics feel so slidey. Forza 3 is grippy but hard to hold a slide , Forza 4 is slidey but its easy to control.
