I noticed this the other day.
Now, I am a great believer in getting out and using cars rather than sitting around polishing them, but I still did a bit of a double take at the idea of a TVR on a trials hill.

To put anyones mind at rest.
Until earlier last year this S belonged to a guy who unfortunately passed away unexpectedly. He was the kind of guy who had no interest in buffing it up, yet appreciated all things mechanical.
He was toying with the idea of putting a V8 engine into it but sadly did not get the chance.
The new owner purchased the car with the intention of putting the V8 engine in it and using it for this very purpose. Before doing so he sought feedback from the guys on the S forum on whether he was doing the right thing; the over-riding response was a united YES! Everyone that knew Ken (the previous owner) said he would have loved the idea!

I was there with another S onwer (who did the film) supporting him on the day and it was great, it got lots of looks and was the only car on the trial (IMHO) with a great sound and that different look. The V8 was awesome and the only hill it struggled on was Simms (which very few managed).
As an S owner, the Devon TVRCC RO and S Club Heaven Organiser for the last 2 years I think Duncan has done a great job, and as said above Ken would have been proud.
