Have this a SR Suntour SP-NEX Suspension Seat Post on the wife's bike:

The post to saddle bolt has now snapped twice (the original and a stainless one I replaced it with)

She is size 12

Is this common ?

Any remedies ?

TIA

get a grade 8 steel bolt, not stainless, see if that survives.

Is she riding on a turbo? My bird did the same as a result of being sat upright on a turbo, it loads the bike a bit differently. She proper hit the deck when it snapped. Think it learned her.

Just to update.

Contacted the retailer dotbike. He was aware of a known recall for this issue and offered a choice of 2 different more expensive posts as a FOC replacement
