Done for 75 in 70 by Surrey BiB on A3 at 04.30 am

I am hoping some of our resident BiB can comment, my mate at work says he was stopped for 75mph in 70 limit on the A3 Milford exit. He had passed a marked car , he was doing 70, BiB a lot less, he then came off onto the slip road at his junction at Milford and the BiB car then came up behind and pulled him. He said he was only doing 70 but his speed might have increased to 75 as the long slip road has quite a slope. Offered ticket and 3 points or a driver awareness course @ £90 (he accepted later). This was at 04:30 am last Sunday morning, not another vehicle on the road. He fully accepts that 75 is over the limit, but is still a bit stunned by it.

Ridiculous. I actually heard someone quite high up say on LBC that his officers wouldn't book anyone for driving at up to 80mph and he supported the increase to an 80mph limit.
