Recommend a London Hotel for Valentines

Hi all. Am looking to treat the other half to a night in a nice hotel on valentines. We are both students so nothing too pricey - her halls are in islington so somewhere near would be good but I don't mind getting us a taxi either.

Looking on expedia and laterooms etc there is such a bewildering selection I don't know where to start. Any recommendations?

Willing to pay up to £200 or so.

Does it have to be Valentines because there are some fantastic deals about at the moment but EVERYONE is going to be pushing up the price for this date.

Just a suggestion, perhaps give a gift of an stay in a hotel for Valentines but have the actual date another night in Feb and you will get a far better deal for your room and even have cash left over for a nice meal.

I would agree, anywhere half decent is going to rape you on this date. Far better waiting a few days and go the weekend following Valentines Day.

You will be lucky to get anything good for £200, took my wife away last year for Valentines day and It was around £500 for a nice hotel and a meal.

Could do it on the sunday or monday just as easily so that's not an issue .

Have a look on laterooms. There are a few deals floating around if you don't mind doing the Monday night and depart on valentines day
