That takes a lot of traction. How the hell did he do it on stock radials?

Seems an awful lot of MPH for "stock" too. When it was stock Nige's Z06 was about 3MPH shy of that which reflects the rated power pretty accurately.

...thinks... maybe he put some VHT/rubber softening gloop on his street tyres ?

Must have hooked it up really well to get 1,7 for the 60' time, which is the key to such a great time. Also notice he mentioned "ideal" track conditions.

The ET is probably good, but I seriously doubt the 60' time was on 'street radials'. In my limited experience even a full hook on a prepped track from a 4K launch still only netted a 1.9 60', so it seems doubtful he could have done that on street tyres.

Definitely one quick car though.

Nope. Here's another one snatching the record away on stock Goodyear tyres!Perhaps this better illustrates the disregard for the car's survival in reaching for these sorts of acceleration figures.

Never done this stuff before, how do you let the clutch out at those sort of revs, slow or fast ?

Another guy's technique (who runs 11's) is rev to 2000-2500rpm, dump the clutch sharply but DON'T get on the gas straight away and then press the throttle. He says you'll get a good quarter mile using this technique. I asssume pressing the gas too soon will cause excessive wheelspin. I suppose in theory you want the tyres to spin a little to generate some heat then grip then go.
