Who is the most famous person you have had dinner with? It has to actually be with them and not "I was in the same room as......"

Mine is pretty average. It's Matt Rendall, the cycling pundit and author, and its this evening.

How about you?

Sean Connery a day or two before he became Sir Sean. Was very nice to me, I was almost 18 at the time and he said he'd heard a lot about me from my mother! Nice touch.

He was at my o/h's family reunion a couple of years back. He shares his great great grand parents with her. His mum is lovely, and a real character.

Salma Hayek.

Wife got chatting to her by the pool at a hotel in Marbella a few years back, invited her to our apartment for drinks/dinner.

Absolutely farking gorgeous. I still tug one out thinking about her going 3's up with me and wife every few weeks.

FAOD - 3 way didn't happen, just like to think about it.

If not the most famous then certainly one of the most entertaining was Alan Clark. Ellen MacArthur was good fun and fascinating, Jeremy Guscott was deathly; really terminally dull but the nicest by far was John Major - witty, charmingly unaffected, unfailingly courteous and eager to put everyone around him at their ease and as clever as a chap with two heads.
