Impromptu Good Photographs.

As I do not have the time/money/talent to buy lots of camera equipment and do photography properly, I only have my phone.
This is what this thread is about. Being in a normal situation without all the equipment just a phone or a standard digital camera. Also no editing!

I was on my way to work a few months back and whilst on the ferry I remembered how beautiful Dartmouth looks in the sun and decided to take a photo. I think it turned out well, what do you guys think?

Also this was taken ages ago at Bantham beach..

I thought this was quite a good pic, I didn't notice the tractor scaring the birds until I got home as I took quite a few pics. I was using a cheap Casio digital camera!

Forgive me, but your post amused me on two counts...

1.) Is your camera so basic that it is still black and white? Or did you just not see the "no post processing" bit?

2.) The concept of a tractor creeping up on a flock of birds at all of 10 mph and suddenly 'scaring' a flock of birds... They actually follow the tractor - deliberately - to eat all the delicious insects and invertebrates that the plough unearths in its wake.

Don't mean any offence, by the way, so I hope none is taken

Virtually never go out without a DSLR, but I did take this one with my iPhone, when I couldn't be bothered to go and get the proper one from the car!

I took the picture on a cheap casio camera using the black and white option. I also took some pics in colour, and I thought the tractor looked good in the background but didn't even notice it whilst taking the pics! And

1. If you don't mean to offend

2. Don't pic holes!

Sorry mate - genuinely didn't want to offend. Didn't realise there was such a thing as a black and white option on pocket cameras


FWIW I like the picture: Although I don't have one myself, I have soft spot for fast Fords, as I have worked at Ford Motorsport in the past - a few decades apart, but recognise any similarities between your pic and this one... (obviously not an impromptu one, though)
