Ferraris on the A44
Discussion
Hello
I was driving along the A44 yesterday and saw more Ferraris than I've seen in my life. A couple of 550s, a silver 456 (foreign plates), two testarossas, a 400/412, several 360s, 355s and 308s, a Mondial, a blue Boxer (which I followed most of the way round the M25), plus a few from the 60s/70s which I couldn't identify - a white one which looked very much like a 250GT, followed by a red one that looked very much like a GTO (surely not?), and a silver one and a black one, both of which looked superb. It's a miracle I didn't crash!
Came home and had a look on the internet to see what was going on and my google searches led me to Pistonfest (and this site). I can't see any of the cars in the photos from the show so I'm not sure.
Was it you guys? If so, superb! You made my day!
EDIT: I forgot, there was a red Countach too...

It may of been our group going to the FOC national concours. We started out as five cars at the South Mimms services and the convoy just seemed to grow as we drove around the M25 and down the M40 onto the A44. I was in the black (not blue) Boxer, there were 2 400s, a 360, 2 f40s, and Enzo, a Daytona, six 355s and two 348's as far as can I recall - it was quite a long line of red cars. This would have been around 9.00am yesterday morning.
On the other hand there was no GTO, 250GT, blue Boxer or Countach in our convoy but these cars were at teh event. There were actually two real 250GTOs and a 288GTO there.

Was the Enzo you saw reg no. EN20 with the 2 looking seriously like a Z. If so one of the F40s would have been MYF40, belonging to the ENZO owner but being driven by a friend. The other F40 belongs to the friend and his wife was driving that. The Enzo owners 550 Barchetta was also present reg number 550 BAR. I mention no names as I respect the confidentiality of the owners. The posting merely serves to show what a right laugh you can have with a bit of spare cash.
