We had Slinky at our wedding. They were really good, we asked them to learn a particular piece of music for our first dance and they did, perfectly.

I've booked 3 Card Trick for my wedding in March, heard lots of fantastic reviews about them and they were good when we went to watch them perform.

They do look good, particularly like their Faithless abilities but alas they're booked up for our date, as are the other two bands that we'd agreed we both liked having lurked on you tube, various agents sites etc frown

We had Slinky too and they were fantastic, all of guests commented on how good they were and I think they even got a few more wedding gigs out of it too.....

I think I know their drummer.

OP, anything in particular you want from the band?
What sort of budget?

Criteria ideally would be male & female vocalists, fully live, no backing tracks, within a budget of under £1400ish.
A broad musical range also, we came accross a fantastic four piece through an agent but their set lists are heavily weighted along the Artic Monkey Kaiser Chief sound which I can only cope with in small doses.

Try The Riffreshers

I have worked with a couple of the musicians in their day jobs, as pro-musicians and I recorded a promo show that they played.
Very high standard, not sure if they are in budget though.

Thank you for all your input folks, we've ended up with these guys www.saturnsweddingband.co.uk who were on our radar anyway and came over well at a showcase we attended last night.

On to the next organising job!

If you need any other recommendations Aly, then let me know. My wife still has "the wedding folder" with everything in it. Can't believe you actually found some lovely girl that's going to marry you. My wife was drunk when i met her, says it all. To my benifit though.
