Innertubes ...
Discussion
Well, I managed to get the rear wheel off the Bike this morning, and, spent 2 hours ringing around to try and get a new InnerTube for the bike... After calling every tyre place withn a 50 mile radius of Home I gave up.
Im off to Mitcheldever tomorrow morning with the wheel in the boot of the car, then Im going to order 2 sets of inner tubes and carry a spare set with me. I cannot believe in this day and age you cannot get a bike tyre repaired on a Sunday!!!.

Seriously its not that hard, a set of tyre levers (your mums spoons won't be man enough of a bike with an engine) and a normal push bike puncture kit. We repair tyres in the middle of bloody no where fairly often this way, one hint if you're going to carry a spare tube make it a rear one as it will also fit the front but not vicky verky, oh and a spare tube is no bloody good without levers and either some gas cannisters or a pump.
I'm sure (almost) I once read an article relating to offroading (paris-dakar etc) where the guy fitted 2 innertubes in the tyre; 1 inflated and 1 not, put the uninflated under the inflated (presumably you would need 2 valve holes in the wheel), if one bursts then remove the nail etc and blow up the other - is this for real or am I dreaming.
Otherwise how good is that 'slime' stuff or does it only work with tubeless tyres.
