Guys, thinking of going on an easy excursion with the family over easter. just want a quick 3 or 4 nights somewhere within easy driving distance from london. Thinking about the scilly isles as its something a little different with a sea trip involved and the run down the A303 is quite nice too.

is it worth visiting ? Which island/town and what sort of things ar there to do (for kids as well)

Thx for any advice

Lovely group of Islands , expensive to get there fly from Penzance (chopper) or St Just (Britten Norman Islander) or Ferry from Penzance again , ferry cheapest at just under £100 return.

Main Island is St Marys , boats go to off Islands (Tresco , St Agnes ,St Martins and Bryher)

smile hth

PS refer to them as Scilly or the Isles of Scilly , never the Scilly Isles , the locals don't like it smile

I know a few people who repeat visit every year so threes enough of a recommendation, but for 3 days I would say the ferry trip may end up being a drag, you could of course take the charter heli trip across.
