Hi guys, a friend has a problem with his Superchagered S2 Exige.

Car is currently sorn and tucked away for the winter. Car has a battery conditioner and battery is showing just under 12 volts.

Car was locked with the key fob but now when trying to open the car now the indicators flash but nothing else happens?

Trying the key in the door doesn't work.

Friend has managed to hook a wire around the lock toggle inside and pulled it up but still doesn't unlock the door. When trying the fob again the toggle fires back down??

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Funnily enough I had similar probs this pm with mine. You'll need to get some power to the car to unlock the central locking. There is a second set of terminals under the front right inspection hatch as you view the car from the front. Add charge via jump leads, open the car normally and access the boot. I just whipped the battery out and stuck it on charge via 240V for the afternoon and all is well now reinstalled and given her a quick blast to clear the pipes.

Quite possibly the central locking unit. I had the same sypmtoms, the solution was the get in the way you described. Might be worth trying again.

Can you remember if you locked the car with the key or the fob?

Friend also thinks maybe the central locking module.

Is there a way of overiding this module?

Central locking module. Same thing happened to me. About £50 for module and a how to fix on SELOC or about £600 +VAT at a main stealer. Your choice.

I paid about 180 at teh main dealer to get it done, but the only way in is the manual way. I'm not going to say too much here, but its easy, just keep at it

If you can find a way to disconnect the battery, and then reconnect, this can reset the module and solve this problem.
