"The police said they would like to hear from anyone who may have had a large amount of wine stolen."

I'm going to ring them about this - pretty sure it's mine. Before Christmas I had a cellar full. When I woke up on 2nd Jan there was barely any left.

Got to love the logic here:

"They are not in pristine condition and look as if they may have come from someone's cellar"

"It's not shop-bought stuff, some date back to 1982."

Hmmm, from where might one have acquired 1982 vintage wine to put in one's cellar? scratchchin

It amazes me though that the chancers would try to claim it - chances of being able to name 3 bottles (complete with vintage), as you'd expect a wine geek owner to be able to, would be pretty slim.
