no predictions, no affiliations...just banter.

having watched the last few games over the weekend anyine else noticed how WOEFUL crossing has been recently.

Walcott, Glen Johnson, Downing, Ashley Young to name a few....

really really poor - to say that pace and wing play has a big part in our game, quality delivery in the final third so far this season has been rubbish..

I'll give defenders some credit but overall its been terrible...does this bode ill for our national game? or will it force managers to look towards playing through the middle and keeping it on the ground?

discuss!

Do you (or anyone else) have access to OPTA stats on crossing?

http://www.optasports.com/about/news/feature-opta'...

Without that it's a bit difficult to know for sure.

I'd like to add Charlie Adam to the list. Last season, SAF said 'Adam's corners are worth 10 million alone' or something to that effect. This season he have Downing taking the corners, which shows how much Adam's crossing has declined since last season.

I don't have access to stats but worryingly for me englands' seemingly choice wingers / wide players can't cross a ball worth a damn.

walcott alone is over-rated for this reason imho
