Just Toddler friendly hotel for April
Discussion
Can you stretch the flight time to 4 hours? Thought of Cyprus? We've been twice with our little guy.
Some friends of ours got married at Le Meridien Hotel in Limasol last year, my son was 18 months at the time and was fine on the flight. Its quite a 70's looking building but a great hotel, good childcare and good food too. There are also a few very nice (non chav) hotels close by too.

I know what you mean - stay away from Aya Napa and its fine though. As I say we've been twice with the little one its very chilled with all of the restaurants we've been to being very child friendly.
Regarding the plane issue, is an hour longer going to make that much difference? We've flown both times on late afternoon and night flights. Tire him out in the day (airports are great places to let toddlers run riot
) and let them sleep on the plane.

We went there last autumn when my son was only 6 months old, so too young to use the kiddy facilities, but we plan on going back in a couple of years time when he'll be old enough to appreciate them. Very relaxing place, and my wife loved the early morning pilates/yoga sessions on the beach.
I second your ideas of Malta and Madeira, both good destinations. I wasn't impressed with Cyprus when I went last year - overdeveloped and full of depressed ex-pats. Three hours flight time should be just about fine - I just got back from a five hour flight on Easyjet with my two little ones and it was hellish. Portable DVD player helped (or tablet / laptop if you have one).
Good luck with Center Parcs. We used to use them a lot but don't now - way too busy. If you want good childcare in sunny places then I suggest you consider Mark Warner or Sunsail.
ETA: Center Parcs childcare has always been excellent though, at all sites.
