Diff bush removal - should I cut out panel above?

As the title says really, I am dropping the diff and replacing all the bushes. It would appear much easier if I cut out an inspection hole in the rear of the cabin above the diff and make a removable panel. Good idea or bad?
I think it's a good idea, but based on my experience you may want to consider making the cut-out the same width but slightly shorter than I did so that you can remove it without having to first lift or remove the tunnel cover.Spend - thinking of cutting inside the cabin behinds the seats so it would be much easier to get at but I do take your point - it is only once I need to do it. Darkmatter thanks for the tip and your picture on another thread is very helpfull. I think I will try without cutting and see how I get on. Ian
