in car video camera advise

hi been looking at gopros but want something less of a wide angle and a screen to see what ive shot.

are there any normal video cameras out there any good or is there still a problem due to moderm antishake systems causing it to be out of focus?

Hi. Just got the HD2. Has got three settings for width of shot, can add a screen on the back or stream to smart phone with the wifi add on. Very impressed with it so far.

That amazon link is to the old HD though. The HD2 has a few new features such as the wifi back mentioned earlier.

The new one is over a hundred quid more. The original HD is still an excellent camera and a bargain at the moment.

I got the original hero as for the price of a hero 2 I also bought an LCD screen, various extra mounts and a bag for them all.

Tested them out the other day and have to say I am very impressed.

I just use a Kodak Zi8 for incar stuff. There's an anti shake feature in software on the pc software it comes with.

Canon FS200 for me, bought from Argos the other year for something like 150 quid. Not much demand though now for standard def camcorders. Lens set wide is equivalent to 28mm and sound quality very very good which is 100000% more important to me than HD footage. This footage here is a cut from the original camera file then exported to youtube HQ format using the freebie editor videopad. Sound is just from the built in mics but its so close to how the car actually sounds that I haven't bothered hooking up an external mic.
