Sorry to keep going on chaps but the next decision has got me wondering.
I have decided to go for it and get a Tuscan, but the thing is we, the Sandbag and I are not sure we like the new style enough to live with it. We have been offered a good deal at Gatwick TVR for a new Tuscan but today I was offered an old style (the one we fell in love with) unregistered 'S' for more or less the same money. Different dealer.
I have no idea what to do and at this precise moment I feel like a woman, not being able to make my mind up an all.
Benifits I think of the new one are, new shape better resale and I would choose the colour and spec.
Benifits of the 'old' one are, the shape we want and it's got the 's' badge, but it is not the colour or spec I would have gone for.
Am I a Tart.

(Don't answer that)

If you can wait do so IMHO.

I was in a similar dilemma a couple of months ago myself

Some thing I like about the old S some things I don't, some things I like about the new S some I don't.
So I decided on a new one, at least under the bonnet it will be the same and at least I can choose the colour of my choice, and the other determining factor it's a convertible!
Due for delivery early 05.

In your shoes I'd have to opt for the new style, simply because IMHO the depreciation will be less than the older shape.

Got an "old" S. Luv it. Good on you with choosing the new. The S was a step on from the Tuscan ( driven both- Tuscan several times), the new S is a good evolutionary step on from that. I prefer the shape of the "old" S. but that is just me.

Its a TVR.

Its loads more fune than aything else.

Good call!

Well, as usual my I followed my heart and not my head (and you lot ).
I bought this on Sat.....

Halcyon Space Blue, Portland full leather, Prussion dash and door tops with navy carpets.
Do I feel like a dog with two d**ks or what!!!!!
The best thing is that the colour has been chosen for me!
I spent most of last week staring at pictures of the face and arselift of the new one and decided that it didn't have the same impact on me as the 'old' one did when I first saw it. I know that to an extent it doesn't matter as i'll not be able to see it from the drivers seat but I still want the buzz everytime I open the garage door.

The more observant of you may have noticed that it is not the 'S' as was mentioned above, but standard 3.6.

I gave both a standard one (not mine ) and an 'S' a spank and out of the two I found the standard one easier to drive. The suspension on the 'S' just seems to be to sensetive for the sort of driving I do, and the fact that my daily driver for many years has been a Land Rover means that the power difference is not really an issue. The standard one will certainly out perform my driving abilities so I think i'll be happy with it for a few years.

I love the colour, the best thing is that you get to drive it now...... not next year!
To hell with the depreciation!

Very good choice.

Jon,
You'll get that buzz every time you look back at it when you park, and every time you come back to it, when there is a gathering around it, if you're like me you hide in doorways till they're gone then quickly deactivate the alarm and jump in.
I have never known a car to give the immense pleasure of owning & driving, than this one.

Enjoy it,

Best Regards,

James Sim.

Thanks all for the kind words . I've been doing my best to be chilled about it but in reality i've probably pissed of the boys at work by going on too much.
Mind you, it looks like i'll be doing the running in miles in 'take us for a spin' drives alone!!!!

Unfortunately for you poor people, any chance I get i'll be in it, so expect me at all the meets so Di, if you wouldn't mind, please keep us informed.

Nick, I reckon i'll pick it up the Sat after next. I'm a bit busy before then worse luck.

Ho hum, more sleepless nights.

Mmmmmm ChelseaTuscan, has a ring to it eh?
