Who's got a Planet X?

Looking at a road bike and am struggling to see past the seeming blinding value for money offered by planet x.

The alternatives are Cannondale CAAD 10 or Supersix Carbon (on sale).
I like my frames lively and fast. Are Planet X any good? I know theyre a generic Taiwanese frame but they seem to get good reviews.

I've just got the Team Alu, this comes in at £999 with a smattering of SRAM Red components. I'm really chuffed with it so far. I'm using it as my winter bike & it very good. I went for the aluminium frame because I know a few lads who ride them and everyone rated it.

The caad bikes are meant to be very lively as said. I want something stiff for racing and if I can't pull together a few grand for a Canyon then my next stop will be Cervelo S1 or caad10 I think.
Can't help but think using a bike with a £250 rear mech through the winter is a bit of a waste lol. (the planet x withered I mean)

Both PX and Ribble are victims of bike snobbery unfortunately but do offer slot of bang for your buck. O borrowed a Sportive and was very impressed, all it needed IMO was better wheels to make it perferct. Also check whether you 'fit' PX bikes as they are quite aggressive.
Rob, have you seen the new aero bike they have, meant to be ultra rigid and the framesets are coming soon for sale.

.I have a Planet X Carbon Nanolight - I bought the frame around this time last year and then built it up myself. It's been fine - the bike all went together fine, no unexpected gremlins and it's been perfect since. A friend of mine also has several Planet X bikes all built up by himself and again, happy camper.

I've got a Pro Carbon, which is just over a year old. It came with SRAM Red build (shifters, rear mech), and I ordered the Dura Ace wheels and upgraded brakes that were on offer at the time.
The only perspective I have is a hand built aluminium TT frame, so not really a meaningful comparison.
In my opinion its a cracking bike for the price, and it has been faultless. I'd recommend it to a friend. I weigh around 100kgs, and it hasn't suffered through that. It handles just fine, doesn't creak or crash, and is comfortable over longish distances (never ventured beyond the 160km mark).
The communication from Planet-X was good when I ordered (I preordered about 2 months before the bike was out), and they were happy to ship the bike without wheels and send them later as they weren't available at the same time as the bike, and I didn't want to lose my build slot. I'd buy from them again. A friend had an identical bike and it developed a small crack (He is 6'6" and weighed about 130kgs at the time!) and they replaced it with little fuss.

the new planet x is the N2A, looks awesome. was tempted but its a bit too fast for me...
