Hi there,

Looking for some advice. Does anyone suffer from OCD? at which point did you realise you need to do something about it? I've recently started dating and she's generally worried about my habits. I've always been an organised clean person but have to admit lately I've started to wonder if my habits have become a necessity.

Many thanks

Nothing wrong with keeping things neat and tidy, providing you don't go over the top....

In no particular order:
-it's related to stress so deal with stress
-look at the logic of stuff you do
-learn to not give a st
-develop fast ways of checking (if that's the issue)
-learn to not give a st
-start telling yourself you look like a moron doing it
-learn to not give a st
-count 3 passes of the hand if if it's a cleaning issue and accept it's clean after 3 passes unless you can actually see muck
-learn to not give a st

Good advice.

Mine has eased considerably since my wonderful and utterly perfect Dad died. He was immaculate in every way. He spent a good deal of his life ensuring tidiness and order. Ensuring things were "just so".

You know how much it meant in the end? Not a fking thing.

So, chum, look at it like this. "Will it matter in ten years"? No? fk it.

I hope this helps you. It's changed my life.

As long as all my cars are spotless and the lines in my lawn are perfect, I'm a happy bunny.
