I'm afraid this is a website that dealers pay to advertise on, so freedom of speech only goes as far as non car related stuff, even if you are telling the truth.

I dont agree with it, but I do understand why.

Your relationship with the Dealer is one thing. But PH has a no naming and shaming policy which is there for good reasons. And even if you are oblique in your posts, your dealer name is in your profile.

There have been loads of times on here when people have slagged garages off, and then when they are advised to talk directly to the garage, become suspiciously silent.

Just because people post on PH, doesn't mean that they are right. So advice about a situation is ok, but damaging a company's business by posting anything derogatory about them is not.

Your posts will have been removed because they breached PH rules, not because PH has an allegiance to your dealer.

thanks to your thread, i have added a dealer that cannot accept constructive criticism to my mental list of "dont touch with barge pole".

not at all, rudegirl, thats why no names... i am assuming that nobdy buys all their cars from the same dealer, of course! of course if any dealers feel guilty and wish to re-think their policies...

Just got to be careful how you say stuff. And Ted can't check every single case to see whether it's the dealer or the customer (or both) that are out of line.
