Hi folks,

I’m the proud owner of a 2008 DB9 Le Mans. Bought it 3 weeks ago and have already done 1500 miles – pure joy to drive and it has to be the most beautiful car in the world.

I have the update discs for the Sat Nav but I cannot find the disc player! The User manual says its behind the kick panel of the back seat (passenger side). Well I pulled up the seat base and the kick panel just Velcroed on but all it hides is a big sub woofer. Checked other side – that has the battery and I cannot see anything obvious in the boot..

So... can anyone help out and tell me where the satnav disc player may be hidden.

Many thanks.

Zod

It's in the boot.

Thanks Zod. That what I thought but on the left after removing the cove I see a fuse box and holder with tools. on the right there is a tray and nothing to take out!

Can you be more specific about where in the boot - I really couldn't see anything when I looked yesterday and dont want to start removing lots of trim if possible. Thanks

In the middle of the bulkhead above the amp housing there is a DVD drive. Centre of boot. This is for the coupe.

If your yet to find it, remove the rear seat base and panel the sub is under, and the nav drive is under the sub basically on the floor. it too me a while to find it on our 08 DB9 but it is there!

Folks, thanks for reply. I have a coupe and my book says its under the seat. All I could see was the sub hence posting. In the boot there are no small panels to remove, just one very large one that runs right across with about 10 panel poppers. These would not come out easily so I will wait until the weekend and take a look under the sub again. Will post some pics once I find it incase it helps others. Thx

On my DB9 MY08 it was also under the rear seat passenger side. Remove the kick plate and you should see a set of plastic 'lips' . Pull the bottom one down towards the floor and the disc should come out. It does not look obvious but it is the right location.

good luck

Hope this helps the next person that is looking for it - really not the most obvious to find)

if this works then you can see a pic of where my SatNav was hiding. As per previous posts there are two "lips" and the bottom one pushes down. (keep forgetting to hoover behind front seat - its so tight I never see the crud on the floor).

thanks for all the help

Hi taking a chance I too have a 2008 DB9 Le Mans(might even be your old one CN08DSU having all sorts of problems mostly wiring,do not suppose you know where the factory fitted tracker is installed as I need to unpug it because it is causing havoc with my electrics as it is still trying to find a signal even though it has no subscription for at least ten years, also original radio shows vin number in the display window which bears no relation to the car VIN number, again it worked 3 months ago now locked to a VIN number which after looking up belongs to a 2010 DB9!!!!!!

Hi Bavis. Yours is not my old car. I never had an issue with the tracker but recommend you approached a specialist like Bamford Rose? I used them for a lot of upgrades and servicing and would expect them to be able to help. A common suggestion for electrical gremlins is to check your battery - do you know it’s good? If in doubt I would fit a new one. Wonder if your radio is a replacement from another vehicle and showing that vin. Would definitely recommend chatting to a good specialist.

Hi Thanks for that, yes battery is good on permanent trickle charge, have contacted B.R.but as it is a non starter would need to send it via car transporter (265 mile round trip)for them to delete tracker and still do not know if it will start, radio is original, was working 3 months ago so goodness knows why it is showing different vin number which is stopping it working,oh well I will keep looking thanks for prompt reply
