This rather excellent video appeared on the youtube vid - it shows F18s out of NASWI.

I recommend you watch it all, but at 3:12 is the point of my question. It shows an F-18 but with Russian markings. I'd assumed it was from one of the aggressor squadrons, but a quick google suggests they don't use F-18s. The closest to NASWI would be the 18th and Wiki suggests they use only F-16s.
Anyone shed any light on where it would be from?

2:55 you mean?
VFA-204
Sorry, yes. But why the Russian star of the tail fin? Wiki makes no mention of acting as aggressors in the VFA-204 entry.VFA-204
http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/agency/navy...
"VFA-204 deployed in October 1998 to provide adversary role support to active Navy squadrons VF-101 and VFA-106 as they train Navy pilots and flight crews."

Really annoys me when people dont explain the content of the thread in the title.
'Why?' could be anything ffs, so I have to look at it, turns out of course to be something I have no interest in.
Just a quick tip - it would have taken you a lot less time to simply press 'back' on your browser, than to write a response...'Why?' could be anything ffs, so I have to look at it, turns out of course to be something I have no interest in.
