I would like to replace my sunvisors by more solid ones.
The foam or whatever it is has become quite soft and they don't stay in the position they should.
Has anybody done that already?
Couldn't find any relevant post.

I would love to claim the idea myself but I can't ! I have tried and tested this .............
Remove visor , I managed to pull out the "hinge" and through a crushing and shaking motion emptied the damaged foam out.
Take a can of expanding foam , stick the tube in and go ! Let's you mould until happy then dries hard.
Sun visor like new !
Don't get it on your hands / visor outer as its a nightmare to get off .

Hope this helps, worked on my S and TR7

just took mine off - what's the point of sunvisors when the sun is above the top of the windscreen...sun glasses do the trick

Seeing this post reminded me of this old article showing exactly the same method as mentioned previously

Mine are a bit soft so its another thing on the too do list in the run up to summer if I manage to get here back on the road in time.
