The stitching on the rear window has torn along the top edge. I live in S Lincs and would like to know if the roof needs to be taken off the car to be repaired and who would be able to do it. The rest of the roof is in pretty good condition, any ideas?

The roof would need to come off. Not sure of anyone up your way, but I paid £180 for a new screen and fitting this year, the guy removed the hood too for that price.

As above a long needle, and make sure you buy proper thread that doesnt snap when pulled.

my advise 2 thimbles helps a lot to push and 1 person each side makes it quicker

team work !

Takes time but worth it and saves some $$$$$$

Welcome to the forum wavey

I recently had some bodywork done here http://www.carizma.co.uk/ I was impressed with what they did for me. While there we were discussing other work they do or have done on S's, including new rear windows. I'd had mine done elsewhere earlier this year but it cost more than they were quoting, which sounded very reasonable to me... sadly I cannot remember exactly how much they said but it was less than £150.

If you give them a ring tell them I sent you wink

Cheers
