What are they like? Any good? Never see them mentioned on here which surprises me seeing as they are a 300+ bhp coupe!

I bought one of the last 350Z roadsters two and a half years ago, replacing a 916 Alfa Spider 3.2. I tried the, then, new Spider and a TT Roadster and the 350 came out streets ahead, in my opinion. Its quick, surefooted and comfortable. Really needs a specialist remap to get the best from it (that and a few other minor mods make it fly) and I don;t regret my purchase at all. Can't comment on the 370Z but would assume it's an improvement.

The VQ35DE is the best engine I've ever had the pleasure of owning. The car it was wrapped in was a little flimsy, but, as long as you don't expect German build quality, you probably won't be disappointed.

Bit big for it to be chuckable but it handles well for a big old girl.

I'd have another in a heartbeat.

I've enjoyed having mine, I just wish I still had the noisy exhaust fitted!

I picked up a 370z this summer. Before that I had an S2000. The 370z is smaller, fractionally lighter and more powerful than the 350z. I always fancied the 350z and was very close to it when I was about to buy the S2000, but as I'd been a Honda man I stuck with them.
Now after Honda alienated their performance fans and with the release of the evolved/improved 370z it was a no brainer.
I love it. It feels much quicker than my s2. Interior on the 370z is really good and a nice place to be. Economy is similar to my s2000. Noise is better. Handling and grip are good. Quite rare on the roads.

Awesome machine. Nissan have evolved this like porche do with their line up.

Servicing cost is about £164. Not bad for the performance on offer which a few magazines have managed 0-60 in 4.7

What is the name of the rear diffuser you have?

How much difference does it make?

Not the most practical or economical, but a hoot to drive and a pleasure to own.
Surprisingly, to me at least, a well thought of car amongst most non-PH types. People tend to sneer and snipe and make (odd) assumptions about the owners of Porsche, BMW, TVR, Ferrari, etc but they just smile and let you out in a zed.
Not lightning fast nor too hot in the twisties, but great fun and a good all-rounder nonetheless.
Excellent VFM at the moment as the prices have dropped like a stone lately. frown

Went up to Birmingham and back over the weekend, averaged 30mpg over half a tank, and I wasn't hanging around!

Re prices - you're not wrong, I've had mine up for sale for almost a month and only had one bite fom some oddball in France (despite dropping the price) frown

Great cars, but fuel and road fund licence costs are pushing prices down. The 370Z needs super unleaded and I'm assuming the 350z is the same.

According to handbook: "...unleaded regular petrol with an octane rating of 91 (RON) may be temporarily used..."

However, the general concensus is that whilst you're probably fine to use 95RON and it won't throw up any immediate issues if you're going to use it long-term it's as well to get a remap.

I'm lucky to have a Shell station so close: in nearly 2 years I've only been caught short once and judging by the aforegoing I don't think a fiver's worth of cheapy Total is going to cause me any grief! (Obviously it will now I've said that...)

According to Nissan you can run a 350Z on 95RON without any risk of damage to the engine, as all cars sold within EU are requried to, (since about 2004 IIRC), but you will suffer a power drop of about 5%

I've owned 3 x 350s and now have a 370 Roadster - gratuitous piccie here...

They are bullet proof - have not had one thing go wrong with any of them. Cheapish to run also, although you need to run them on 97+ron. At 9/10ths as good as anything else out there of a similar style, and as my neighbour with the Cayman S will tell you, enough to leave more expensive stuff wanting.

GT makes a big difference in spec - leather, sounds, sat-nav, etc all top notch.

HKS exhaust will be fitted in Jan, my aim with a few tweaks after that is 400hp, then I'll be happy.

A friend had a 370z last year and it was awesome fun and bullet proof. I would recommend the car as long as you don't mind 18 mpg when your being nice, dropping to around 8 mpg for enthusiastic driving. It goes through rear tyres every 9,000 too and they're £500 a corner.
