Excellent race to watch thanks to Motors TV

Congrats to the Hartshorne, Mundy, Stanton TVR on the 9th in class and 24th overall.

Well done to the Creation Zytek team for mixing it with the Audi and on their 3rd place.

Roll on Silverstone.

The Nurburgring 24hr has loads of different cars. I don't think prototypes get involved, but lots of Porsches and DTM cars etc do, all done on the Nordschleiff

Who will be king... of the nurburgring...

In a Bon Jovi style. 10/10 for effort. I wet myself when I heard it.

Due to the weird conditions of sunshine mixing with rain showers it was a tough race providing loads of hairy moments. The TVR had an ECU problem during the race. After that one was exchanged it was running like a clock work again. Congratulations to them. Shorty finished in sixt place. What a weekend !?!

Thouroghly enjoyed the race MotorsTV and live timing on the PC, now if the LMES live timing could show class aswell, would be even happier.

Obviously slowed by the amount of ballast they picked up during the race

Seriously, a good show by the team, can only expect better at SIlverstone.

Here's a selection of pictures...

The winning No 8 Veloqx Audi. That's Allan McNish at the wheel. Next weekend he will be piloting a VW Beetle for 25 Hours around Spa-Francorchamps.

The second placed No 88 Veloqx Audi with Jamie Davies at the wheel. Note: Nicely glowing disk brakes.

And the third placed Creation DBA Zytec in front of empty grand stands. The LMES organisation is ****.

The vital moment, No 08 overtakes No 88 to take the lead.

A beautifull sunset at the Nürburgring.

Shorty at speed...

...and with the after burner at full thrust.

Fantastic pictures!

I wonder if they are big enough for a desktop picture...

The accident of the Palmyr Lucchini looked horrible at first. It took the marshalls ages to turn up at the scene. Luckily, the driver got out unhurt (except for a scratched ego). Take a look at the photographer...

It took about a minute until the driver emerged from the wreck. The photographer only just now realised what happened.

The driver was furious... he should have been glad that he walked away from this.
