I bought my 95 Chim with NGK B8ECS plugs fitted, reading the Bible tells me B7ECS should be fitted, should i change or stay with the 8's, they seem to have been ok but are now overdue for changing.

Also i'm going to clean/ reoil the air filter, do i have to access it through the front grille apperture? Obviously this is a dumb question as i cannot find the answer anywhere(bit like a cookbook on how to boil an egg)Oh well i'm ready for abuse as long as there is some constructive stuff as well

Is you car a pre-face lift big mouth, with the mesh grill in it style, if so yes
Pop the grille out, it gets easiyer the more you do it the airfilter will be on your right as you look at the car and it's a single jubliee clip holding it on

Hi Fatboy, You also have to take the grill off I think (you have a later model chim so this might be a load of bollocks) To change the headlight bulbs indicator etc. It is a fiddly job. i changed my grill for a Leven Tech one, and if I had fitted it straight the grill removal would have been a lot easier than the standard one.

You need something with a thin flat blade, nothing sharp or you'll cut the rubber, a bit of 'lubricant' might help, whatever you have in the garage/bedroom might help then just ease it out, it comes out a lot easier than it goes back in and if it's your first time you will be cursing it
Mine is slightly darker than Ocean Haze, it's actually a VW colour but I can never remember the name, it's the name of some plant or something
