Good photos.
There was a programme on TV a couple of weeks ago about the McLaren Technical Centre (or whatever it's called) and when I was watching it, with its spotless, dustfree etc. environment, almost certainly cleaner than any NHS hospital, it reminded me of the TVR factory. And then I saw the photos above and had a reality check
.

These photos bring back all the TVR emotions I was feeling in the mid nineties 
TVR somehow managed to capture the nations hearts, for me there was absolutely nothing at the time that could compete with the thrill of seeing a Chim, Griff or best of all a Cerbera roar past.
How I longed to have one.
Sadly I was an impoverished young apprentice mechanic so had to make do with collecting brochures and blagging test drives at Henley TVR.
Everyone knew the product wasn't without it's faults, but people were prepared to overlook the niggles & genuinely wanted to see TVR succeed.
I was one of them.
It's a shame we don't have something like TVR these days to capture the youngsters hearts and give us all a sense of national pride.
I know I'm preaching to the converted & sorry for the rant, it's just those photos brought it all flooding back.

I remember the day vividly … mainly because driving back home down the M6 through Brm, some t
t in a transit van in the middle lane undertook a line of cars trundling along at 70 in the outside lane, and the next thing I know the vans back doors fly open and a crackhead started throwing bricks and scaffolding poles out the back at the cars behind, me included. He got done for attempted murder or some such.
On a lighter note … here's a few more of the 4.3 and 500 I had. Hard to believe this was 20 yrs ago. Seems like only last year …
