Mid-range kids' 16" bikes?
Discussion
I've done a search and found there's a lot of love for the likes of Islabikes but £170 is a bit much for a 4-year-old IMO. So does anyone have any experience of the higher end (ish
) Raleighs, or the Cuda Blox, or even Carrera Blast that Halfords have on offer atm.
Basically I'm after spending about £100 on a half decent 16" boys' bike, and ebay and Gumtree don't have anything local.
Or do I need to spend an extra £35 and get a Ridgeback MT16?

Specalized 2011 Hotrock? Should be able to find one in the sales at a good price. 2012 Hotrock is £160
This,Got my Son one last Xmas and he loves it, very nicely put together and despite endless 'learning experiances' it's still like new (apart from the Fox stickers I put on the fork legs ha ha)
Price match a dawes blowfish 16" from bikes2udirect with evans (then get free delivery) £108.99 for an alu frame 7.5kg bike £150 rrp bike.

The bike is probably better or equivalent to the ridgeback or hotrock but a lot lighter than the ridgeback on par with the hotrock, the quality is not quite up to islabikes, but it's a darn sight better and half the weight of any halfords £100 16" bike.

Brilliant, thanks. Out of interest, why not just buy from Bikes2u? I assume it's not just the company name involving text speak
