I've had this pickup since i passed my test at 17 two years ago. Its never let me down, and given me super cheap van insurance.
1.6 8v petrol.

Not to everyones taste, but certainly a different 'first car' to most

Apart from the fact that your bumpers appear to have fallen off, it looks great. I really like the older car based pick ups. Shame no one seems to make them anymore (at least not for the UK market).

Loving that...

Is that the exhaust peeping out from the lower 3/4?

I like that, needs a front bumper as it looks stupid without one.

Friends got a white one of these sitting on Ronald Turbos. Brilliant wagon.

Having no bumper must be one of these 'scene' things. I've always liked these, not sure about the yellow paint though.

When i bought it it didnt have bumpers, but theres a nice aftermarket front one i might get.
Only plans are to spray it next year before i sell it, maybe the old mk1 golf green.

I miss mine, was my first car too! Although mine was the 1.6 D with the 5 speed 'box. Loved it to bits, the best mpg of any of my cars to date, but i'm pretty sure a cyclist could've out accelerated it!

I must say I'd prefer the look without bumpers, gives it something more retro and purposeful.

That orange one with a small bumper looks better than the ones without, IMO of course.

Really like that, but the front end does look a bit off with all those holes and no bumper - either fill some of the holes or pop a bumper on i reckon!

Love the side exit exhaust!
