easiest compact camera

My folks have a really nice Leica compact, but it is too damn complicated for them.

I've always used Canon, but what cheap (sub 100) compact camera will take nice pics, but be easily used be older non technical types?

Surely you just bung the Leica into auto everything and all they need to know is how to turn it on and press the shutter?

you would think so - they just arent getting on with it.

To be fair, I have had a play with it and it isnt very intuitive.
