It's a Canon 550d, a course plus free reign to buy a nifty fifty and a telescopic lens. And the best bit is that Santa's confused and it's arriving tomorrow coz we're going on holiday in a couple of weeks!
The course is only in the New Year so I've got a copy of Understanding Exposure coming and Simpo Two was kind enough to send me his Idiot's Guide.
My first, of which will probably be many questions, is which telephoto lens? My second is which tripod?
I don't want to go crazy on the money because I have a feeling I might want to buy some filters soon too and I haven't even got the camera yet.
Any suggestions on a balance of acceptable quality that'll do for now but give me a great excuse to upgrade in a few months?
